Snow View - Nainital (Uttarakhand)

Snow View is reachable by a Cable Car, which takes you upto the popular "Snow View Point" at the height of 2270 meters, which on clear days has panoramic Himalayan views including Nanda Devi - (7816 meters). At the top, you can hike to CHEENA/NAINA PEAR 4 kms away or hire a horse to take you there or all the way round to Tiffin Top-Dorothy's seat. A walk upto Snow View can take in the tiny GADHAN-KUNKYOP-LING-GOMPA (monastery) of the GELUKPA order (of which Dalai Lama is spiritual leader). A path branches off to the `GOMPA' (colorful prayer flags should be visible).
